Welcome Message

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the Combined Congress of the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine (AFSM), the Sports Medicine Association of Thailand (SMAT), and the Thai Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (TOSSM) 2026, taking place from July 2-4, 2026, at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Thailand.

This combined congress represents a significant milestone in regional sports medicine collaboration, bringing together the expertise and perspectives of three distinguished organizations. The convergence of these societies creates an unprecedented platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and advancing the frontiers of sports medicine across Asia and beyond. Our comprehensive three-day program addresses the full spectrum of sports medicine practice. From injury prevention and sports cardiology to cutting-edge surgical techniques and regenerative medicine, we have carefully curated sessions that balance clinical excellence with emerging innovations. The program features distinguished international speakers, interactive symposiums, case discussions, and fellow presentations that will challenge and inspire practitioners at all career stages.

Hua Hin, located just 3 hours from Bangkok, offers pristine beaches and rich cultural attractions. The Sheraton Hua Hin provides an ideal setting that combines excellent conference facilities with beachfront relaxation. I encourage international participants to extend your stay and experience the unique blend of relaxation and Thai hospitality that Hua Hin provides.

As President of SMAT, I am deeply committed to fostering collaboration that transcends borders and disciplines. Sports medicine faces evolving challenges in our rapidly changing world, and only through cooperation, sharing of resources and experiences, can we achieve optimal outcomes for the athletes and active individuals we serve.

I sincerely welcome all team physicians, sports scientists, orthopedic surgeons, researchers, physiotherapists, coaches, and students to engage fully in this congress. The outcomes of our discussions and exchanges will undoubtedly contribute to advancing sports medicine practice throughout the region.

I look forward to welcoming you to Hua Hin, where we can combine productive academic exchange with Thai hospitality and coastal beauty.
